Supercar money. I'd use it to buy an audi R8.

there's a gap between being comfortable, paying off the mortgage and having a bit spare for grandkids etc, possibly splashing 15 grand on a classic/investment and being home counties moneyed. 90 grand isnt that much for a homologated classic investment when half the people living round me are driving RangRover autographs losing 500 quid a week in depreciation, in fact its cheap. the prices of even mundane classics are 100's of % up and until interest rates get back to 10% or over i cant see this investment bollocks slowing down. my old 964
has gone to China and we all know how much money theyve got to spend.

WOW. I didn't expect that sort of response to my suggestion of buying an R8! *my bottom lip is going*
It was only a suggestion to illustrate the batting league you would be entering with £90k to spend.
I do like the R8 though.
Come on then, you have £90k to spend, what is your weapon of choice/delight?

You really need help, now, Jimbo. I think we've indulged you enough, but it's time for the men in white coats!

The issue is that it is not cheap or even remotely realistic. 90k will still buy an original paint sub 20k minter, not a tonced up leggy turd with 'interesting' history. That car is Ca 60-65k . The inbreds are just pushing / distorting the market, as they do.

well i agree but if i was new to older cars, classics if you will, had two daughters at boarding school and a pied a terre in Knightsbridge i wouldnt be kicking tyres in the suburbs id go straight to classic hero's. thus the car in a garage in the suburbs owner re-evaluates his 60k price in line with the new money market.up.

Thats the reality Peter, 'poverty is right, people just don't think like car traders in their every day lives (they simply don't need to).
I for one am very happy for the distortion in the market

The great thing about turdz with holes is that the water drains out as quick as it gets in
That 320is turd has no holes (yet) and I have to keep slopping it out . Racecar plastic windowz, innit

Jan is supposed to be collecting the E34 and E46 scrappers tomorrow and then it is easily accessible but as he is even more of a sad unreliable tw4t than me , I am not holding my breath.
