Decided today to change the leaking heater matrix on my 325, sounded straight forward on the web and reading the Haynes manual. However I now find myself trying to remove the brake pivot bracket but still without enough clearance and the heater matrix still hidden behind the heater valve. I nearly threw the towel in this afternoon and was going to call my local garage on Monday, but it's sorn at the moment so without getting it trailered up there it's not an option and all before christmas.
Any helpful advice would be gratefully received.
Have I taken on too much?

Just stick with it, I had aggro today refitting that bar that joins the brake pedal to the servo, what a bastard, but with some bad language, fags and some help from the wife I got it sorted.
Go back tomorrow feeling refreshed for a second attempt, you'll sort it.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...

Hi Farbbm,
Keep at it and sure you'll get it done. I remember doing this a little while ago. I must admit it is a fiddly and back breaking job but you'll be fine.
Here is my little venture in doing the same - hope this helps:

Thanks gents for your positive advice and for No1 Jazz's link which was most useful in getting the matrix out. Unfortunately GSF have sent the wron part despite me giving them my chassis number. I'll be having a nice little chat with them tomorrow!
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
