E30 builds

I put together a little site last week for anyone who is interested in reading E30 builds - http://E30builds.com

It has mostly Irish builds at the minute although we do have a couple from state side.

The idea behind the site is to document builds, both completed and on-going, similar to the way users post their build threads on forums but without other users comments in between.

It's a great idea. Are you hosting the pictures yourself? They're normally the biggest issue when documenting a build, as places like imageshack have a habit of randomly deleting pics.

If you need more content, considering asking the OPs of these threads if they'll contribute. You're more than welcome to take my thread (as long as I still get credit ;) )

Yeah I'm hosting the images myself, its a bit of a pain downloading and re uploading to my server but definitely a necessity as like you said imageshack etc... are too unreliable and there is nothing worse than seeing "image not found" on a build thread.

Ill defo feature your build, cheers for the offer! People like seeing lots of fabrication work

When I post a build I provide a link to the original build thread (yours on here for example) and a link to the profile of the author in case guys want to get in touch re questions etc..

Haha, ideally I'd like to focus on completed builds so that viewers can see the full build in one go...

No plans at the minute to open up so that people can add their own content via a log in and post system.

Couple of reasons why;

1) I want to make it as simple as possible for new content to be featured, if that meant guys had to trawl though their own build threads, copying and downloading pics then re uploading to http://E30builds.com then I reckon a lot wouldn't bother as it takes a few hours to do. As it is all they have to do is send me a link and I can do the hard work for them.

2) You would also have to have knowledge of using word press to update a build.

Don't worry though I've started on your build, currently on page 789.. but get it finished
