Is this a repoduction, or was it actually offered for M3s?

For the short-sighted, the CHECK light has been replaced with an LCD reading the oil temp.

For those handy with a soldering iron, how difficult would it be to reproduce that?

AFAIK,M3 had the 'ecometer' replaced with an analogue oil temp gauge.

But I have never been able to confirm if the circuit board between M3/standard clusters is different because of this.

Site is blocked by the firewall but the m3 has a swing style gauge like the economoter. What you are describing sounds like a product I saw advertised on some American forums a couple of years ago

The cluster in the link has a 7k rev limit, i thought M3 clusters had 8k, and the leds look like the kit offered on the zone thats recentlybeen developed by a zoner!

I've been a retard. The LCD is the voltage, not the oil temp

THAT looks relatively easy to fit. The American mod I saw used the Service indicators for something, but I can't remember what.

Are you talking about George Graves LED display for air rule mixture?

X-Works fitted it in his M3 Resto thread.
