Valuation please

I need to provide a valuation of the car for the insurance. Can you please let me know what would be good figure based on the following:

1989 H27, 113K, LSD, leather interior with more details on the build thread below. The car has had full bodywork restoration with no rust. It's also had brake overhaul, new tank, pump etc. Also had inspection 2 service at Birds last week.

I was tempted to use the cost of purchase and the cost of all the work carried but I suspect this will be much higher than the car's value

The E30 register has a guy who properly understands the cars and he will be able to help you reach an insurance valuation.

It's very important that folk realise that there is a huge difference between an insurance value and a sale value...the former is an indication to your insurer of what it would cost to replace your vehicle with an exact replacement...the latter is what the market place is prepared to pay for your pride and joy.

Club membership also brings other things as well,there is a very good monthy magazine,and discounts have been set up with a fair range of companies,ranging from 10% at your local BMW dealer/GSF to exotic hotel groups.
