Well, as some of you know my Transit has rust issues and many other issues for that matter and I can longer be arsed to throw any more time or money at it.

So I've been dithering about what to buy, well, having had many cars on the Egay watch list, E39 528i Touring, E39 540i Touring, E36 328i Touring, Subaru Impreza wagon, Merc E class estates, this came up, put a bid in, and won it :D

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-320-auto- ... 7675.l2557

Plan is to get a local recovery firm to collect it(hopefully Saturday) and deliver it to my house.

My Touring has been sat for nearly 4 years and I still haven't got around to do anything to it and the rust has taken a big grasp at, I can put my fists in the gaping sills

So, this is appears to be clean and tidy, Sterling silver as well which I like but just has a broken motor and lazy box, the idea will be to pull out my 2.5 engine and box and refit to the new Touring, I shall be adding my Sports seats and BBS wheels and a few other bits such as my Scorpion exhaust (there's the council bit!)

Can't wait to be back in an E30, even the wife is happy about the plan after much eye rolling with me looking at inappropriate turds on Ebay, she is looking forward to being behind the wheel of an E30 again, I can see what'll happen though, she'll want the E30 and i'll end thrashing her A3 as my works tram!

Watch this space for cussing at rusted up bolts and gashed fingers :D

That's it lads, nothing quite lowering the tone of the village! For example, there are vehicles such as Porsche Gayenne, Lotus, Mercs, and other associated new vehicles adorning the villagers drives, then there is mine............ :D

LOL tooooooooo local for your liking! That for all intents and purposes is identical to my last E reg shed, which when bought had 8 months MOT and a weeks rent in the screen and I paid £30, yes £30 for it, quite how dealer man thinks that E reg pile of shit (or pretty good condition in my book!) is worth best part of £600 is anyones guess!
People are now calling them "classic" and "rare" which it's not and isn't.......... yet :D

Looking forward to getting stuck in with a new Touring though 8)

Rog I drove past your quaint village the other day, thinking to myself that other than Castle Coombe village it has to be one of the nicest in the S. of England....

I did let out a laugh at how much the neighbours must love you! A fucked tranny and a multi-coloured bmw touring on axle stands. Good lad!!

I was thinking of buying it, giving it the detailing of it's life and putting it up for a profit. There has to be a market for low miles, near extinct Francophile shite surely!!! There must be some stripey tee wearing, bike riding, garlic munching weirdos with more money than sense. After all, they bought these over a Fiesta for christ's sake. And wronguns pay a fortune for classic Minis as well!

Yes. Everything is working fine thanks!

Good luck with the touring. If a straight 320 head swap is an option I have a few here. Special rates for squirrel skinners?

Is your 325 an auto Rog? If not then what/s the plan? Auto the 2.5 donk or fit the manual kit into the 2.0 shell?

Special rates for squirrel skinners? Bargain :D

The plan is to pull out the B20 and auto box and fit my B25 and manual box.

I'm not really interested in fixing the B20 engine TBH, though I did momentarily consider keeping the auto box, but no, i'm going with the above engine and box change.
