I'm restoring my 325i Sport and have the rusted and marked black seat runners removed ready for powder coating.

Does anybody know if within the mechanics plastic is used as this will melt within the baking process , they appear to me to be a metal on metal construction.

Any help appreciated.

Plastic will melt when powder coating, and also the process isn't suitable for seat runners as it clogs them up

Get them carefully blasted then wet painted
