I'm gutted! I haven't been out in my e30 for ages, and the weathers fine so I thought I'd take it out for a spin, firstly the battery was flat, not surprised as I've not used it for ages, then I got it going and pulled it out from the garage and found it was leaking fuel:-( not happy, so I've jacked it up and found the fuel pipes have rusted away, anyone know if I'm best to replace with oem or use new flexy pipes, and what size pipe do I need?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Fuel lines rusted through.

Hello
You can buy the fuel lines from bmw, Not sure how much they are now but from memory they were a reasonable price. Other than that you can just buy Kunifer and make them yourself.

Buy them from the dealer they come painted black and pre shaped to fit properly.
Last ones I bought maybe 3 years ago were about £20 each bear in mind there are 3 in total feed, return and vent although there is a mod to remove the vent pipe if you wish.

That sounds good, it'll look better with the original pipes on, anyone know about this mod tho?

The third pipe was only fitted to post facelift, emissions equipment ready E30s. If the emissions package was specified, either as a result of legislation, or by a tree hugging purchaser, the pipe went to a carbon cannister at the front, and from there to the inlet manifold.Soggy wrote: anyone know about this mod tho?
Most UK E30s don't have the emissions package, so the front end of the pipe is just open. It can equally well be open at the back end of the car, as it was on pre facelift E30s. Just remove the pipe underneath the car in its entirety, connect a piece of hose to the pipe at the rear, and tuck the free end somewhere where it won't collect dirt.

Thanks I'm going to order new tomorrow, and hopefully we'll have some more nice weather so I can go out in it before I put it back away for winter.
