Judging by the play in my rear half shafts it looks like I am going to be forking out for a new pair soon enough.

BMW want £280 per shaft so that's certainly out at the moment.

GSF have some on exchange for £280 (£198 with exchange) for a pair.
Has anyone used these? Any good?

My other option is a used set but the newest are going to be 20 years old still.
Any other options out there?

Yep, same thing.
Trouble with "drive shaft" is its a bit generic and people tend to think you mean the prop shaft, which is also technically a drive shaft.
Halfshaft as it runs half the width of the car, American term but at least its not ambiguous.
