Temp gauge

It seems to have a mind of it's own for some reason is it just had it or can it be fixed ?

You don't give us many details to work on, but the chances are that tightening the small nut on the back of the cluster, directly behind the gauge, will cure the problem.

Tighten that nut and give it a go.

One last thing it's runs quite lumpy at the min is there anything I can do to get it to run a little smoother ? As it's an injection is there stuff I. Can do to make it run nice

The usual things: Find and deal with air leaks on the inlet side, get the injectors rebuilt (see trader's section), check the operation of the throttle position switch, and check out the engine temperature (blue) sensor.

The little brass nut was lose and on the fuel gauge there ain't even a nut or washer !

Any one now were I can get the brass nut and washer from ?

Sitting here in the sunshine in Western France, I can't remember what size it is, but if it's 3.5mm, then that's a common size used in mains electrics, and any electrical wholesaler should be able to help you out.

All I no it's a 7mm socket fits it

Take out one of the screws that holds the electrical sockets and switches to the wall in your house, and see if it's the same diameter. Unless your wiring is pre 1970, these are 3.5mm
