What was wrong with the car, not starting?
i kinda like expensive things
can't be any bigger money pit than horses tho
she died on me last nite, then couldn't get it going again. 99% sure it's something to do with the fuel pump connection maybe, as had new pump, relay and lines and aint making that buzzing type of noise just b4 u crank it. can't be anything major as she's been so well loved by prev owners (only 3) and she runs, sounds and drives like a dream

That's the attitude, always good to have a clearly unhealthy relationship with ones cars.page wrote:thanx jesus, i'm taking my time getting to know her, she's special u know
With an E30, you'll find it'll span from "You little beauty" to " You Fxxxxxx Bxxxx"
Frequently

my first car was an e30 chromie, A reg, i bought her for £390.00 in 1999, , o.k was slightly naughty coz i hadnt passed my test yet had to hide it from my parents and drove it round for a week until the clutch went, at which point i confessed my sins and it was parked up until i was legal and legit.Jesus325iTouring wrote:That's the attitude, always good to have a clearly unhealthy relationship with ones cars.page wrote:thanx jesus, i'm taking my time getting to know her, she's special u know

I still can't believe that i never crashed or killed anyone, had plenty of close calls tho.
Worst was wen i ripped it up the lanes by me, at night, fuel cut out switch happened car just died on me doing something like 60, up a mountain, got towed so far, then being pig headed i was l thought i could roll the last bit down to me house, at which point battery died, and i started being a wimp, i ended up flagging down a couple in a new bmw and made the guy drive it for me
I cried my eyes out the day that car went
i'm already accustomed to their quirks, it's all part of what makes them so special imo

Because you didn't ask on here first!page wrote:turns out it is the fuel pump, why they didn't check that b4 fiddling with other stuff
I suspect it had a replacement pump, rather than a new one, and second hand pumps which have been stored dry have a high failure rate.
