I don't think there's any harm in buying the ones on eBay advertised as "original BMW".
Like these:

I just can't seem to find any in beige for the convertible (which has different mats due to the bigger sills)

THe standard ones are a pain in the A**e, mine keeps sliding forward and getting among the pedals, which is a bit embarressing at the lights then the clutch gets stuck ha ha. I wanna bin them and get a rubber set to save the original carpet underneath. Is there one I can get which I can cut to fit?
Cheers,
Baz

The ones in the above link from Linwar are the original BMW quality mats, every mat comes with a hold down clip, and the mats are top quality too.
BMW don't supply E30 mats for RHD cars anymore, but can still supply LHD mats.

i bought a set of the linwar mats but i won't use the clips as i reckon they'd damage the carpet.
they are an excellent fit and look very smart indeed.
the way to avoid mat wear is to take shoes off while driving. this also stops pedal wear and shoe wear...

I've fitted some of the linwar ones, and when you remove the clips from the carpet, you can't see where they were. These are also the clips the dealer would have used...go on do it!!placey wrote:i bought a set of the linwar mats but i won't use the clips as i reckon they'd damage the carpet.

I have bought a set with the clips from motormec and they are fine (I think they are exactly the same as the sets linwar sell). Previously had a set from euro car parts (without clips) which fitted fine but the drivers mat was always moving and getting caught up in the pedals. Very annoying!
