i m wondering if fitting a tow bar to my e30 1.8i and pulling a trailer with 17ft speedboat and engine could do any harm to the car?
would be handy for me but i wouldnt want to do any damage to the car, any thoughts?
a question about towing, can anyone advise me?

The oem westfalia towbar is maxed at 1250kg with a nose weight of 50kg

Towing a trailer with an E34 saloon on it was probably a bit OTT, but my red touring managed it with no problems.
Every E30 that I've had and used on the road has had a tow bar, and I've towed various and assorted for tens of thousands of miles without anything breaking yet!
Towing limits for all E30s is 1200Kg, with 50Kg nose weight. How heavy is your boat and trailer?

That's not complete. There should be a long length of angle that fits across the inside the boot floor right at the back as well.ameetgill1 wrote:
