Ive snapped one of the studs for securing the rocker/cam cover down on my m20, does anyone have a contact for getting a replacement? Its not leaking but im worried it will when I put her through her paces on track. Ive tried main dealer with no avail. Thanks in advance graham.

How much of the stud is remaining? If there's a fair bit, you could either MIG-weld a nut on or tighten two nuts against each other to unscrew it.
Try Cotswoldbmw on here for a replacement:

Explain further. This is a stud used on M20, M21, M30, M42, M70, M73 and a few other engines and should be readily obtainable.initial_g wrote:Ive tried main dealer with no avail.
BMW UK take a dim view of unhelpful dealers.
It's a M6 x 40 stud, and can be replaced by a bit of M6 studding or a sawn off bolt.
The fun part will be getting the old one out.
