I see replica 16" Alpinas regularly here fitted to all sorts of cars.

I need to find where they come from, probably being produced here somewhere

It's easy to find golf dust. Look in Any jewelry workshop. 16x8 alpins I would say are more like a hens tooth that have a gold cap with an inscription from Mark twain on it.
