E46 quick rack?

I hear it's common practice to fit e46 racks to 30s for the quicker lock, would anyone be able to link me to a good In depth how to thread? Or tell me how in detail?
From what I've read there's a couple of different e46 rack ratios?
My e30 ain't got power steering, is there a 46 rack that isn't power steering? (I'd have Thought a46 was to new to be that simple)

Not as quick as the Z3 1.9 rack tho is it?

it's quick enough. Anything quicker than the clubsport starts feeling really twitchy at highway speeds. I just went from a standard E30 to a standard E46, and it's very light when you approach 80mph.
