BMW 320i B Reg 4 door

This is all very general and not alot of specifics just yet.. But I've got a garage a few doors down from my workplace and they had a bluey/silver pre facelift 320i auto in a couple of days ago, B reg I think. The head gasket had blown, smoke and steam everywhere and it had cracked part of the engine so the woman owner no longer wants the car and the mechanic knowing I've got an E30 said I should buy it off her.

I had a little snoop and the interior looks clean, mechanic says it appears rust free, has taken a knock to the rear passenger corner of the bumper but nothing major. Has very low mileage 70k I think. Was thinking of buying to sell on.

Obviously it's not something I can restore, or strip and sell, as it's not my field.

Do you think there would be much call for it? It is a 320i and is a 4 door auto so I'm assuming not.

She probably rents a box room somewhere. She had no petrol in the motor when it arrived, and the gasket went because she was too cheap to change a split water pipe. She's buying an old school Audi off the garage. I don't think this is Lady Penelope of Kings Road
