Alright people, well after owning a 325 touring and 318iS and turning 30 I had this over whelming feeling of needing a rag top! Even though I spent my youth taking the piss out of convertible owners for being gay etc! Funny how things change!
Anyway I now own said rag top and even though the cloth part of the roof is in excellent condition the rear window is basically f**ked! Completely misty and split in over 6 places!
So my question is, is there any companies out there in the UK that can remove and replace the rear window only? As it would be stupid to replace the whole roof when there is nothing wrong with it!
Thanks in advance.
Rob

I have the same issue , basically to put a new rear screen in the whole roof has to come off for them to sew in a new one and at the same time if the tension straps have had it change them too. I got quoted for just the window £225 + vat and upto £285+ vat . My next option I was looking at was getting the whole roof replaced by putting a bit more money in if the whole roof was coming off so all is new . Car hoods.com I believe we're the most convincing about the work they were gonna carry out oh yes and also add £40 if the front trim needs replacing the strip at the front of the hood .

Check to see if its sew-in or zip-in, the latter is cheaper to replace.

Thanks for the replies lads! I wish the window was a zip in! If it was I would just zip in a new section, I'm not that fortunate.
As for changing it myself like that PDF file shows I think I will give it a miss lol. I couldn't even repair my overalls let alone repair my rag top
It looks like car hoods it is then! J4gz, you have a valid point about changing the whole roof when you look at the price differences! For an extra £100-150 it makes sense just to change the whole thing!
Thanks again for the info boys. Much appreciated
