hey guys im not sure if this is the right area for this, but i didnt want to post in the for sale section just yet,
i have a pair of hard to come by e30 medium case LSD's both are 3.15 and would suit 24v conversions to the ground!
one is a clutch pack type diff and the other is a torsion type diff
i was wondering if anyone could give me a heads up on what kind of price to put on these.
Both have just been serviced with fresh Castrol Syntrax Limited Slip 75W 140 - the expensive oil and in my opinion the only oil to use in these.
any help putting a figure on these would be fantastic, as finding it difficult to find another to price against
putting a price on LSD's

£250 - £300 for the 3.15 higher end for the clutch type. What is the eBay rate at the moment?

Surely more than 250-300.
Most e30 LSD's will need a rebuild at 30 odd years old.

The clutch pack one - unless it's from the US, must surely be either E30 M3 or Z3M - in which case I'd price it at around £400 if it's in good working condition. M-tax and all that...
The Torsen one I expect is from a Z3 2.8 or 3.0? Price at around £300 I reckon
Edit: I wouldn't have thought you'd have to use Syntrax LSD oil in a Torsen?

well thats the reason i asked on here, as ive asked a few people i know who are well into their e30's and they have given me some pretty high quotes, but wasnt sure. i didnt want to post up an add and waste my time, so i thought id ask on here, take an average and put them up for that.
they are taking up space in the garage and i have no use for them. i got them for a big project that i had planned but i took a different path so no longer needed.

i spoke with some engineering firm who specialised in bmw differentials and he recommended the oil to me as the oil is very high quality. plus i used to work for aston martin and its the same oil they used in the Vanquish, so easy to come by and at the end of the day high quality oil isnt going to harm it.
i dont believe the clutch pack one to be from a m3 , i think its like you said, from a z3m.
and your correct the torsion is from a 2.8 z3 as well,

Also when you get them shipped the oil will need to be drained first. If you don't drain them you need to pay additional charges,.
I bought torsen and clutch diffs for around £300 in the past 112 months.

eBay them and then you'll see what people are willing to pay.
