Allow me to vent my spleen. My wife of 25 years proudly told me she threw out all those old bits of paper about the Lambretta. This is a 1958 Lambretta, that after an eventful life came to be living in Western Australia. She has thrown out:
ownership/registration papers that go back a loooong time. Hand written oily receipts for work done by ancient mechanics.
More recent receipts for important mechanical work.
I then swiftly ran to see if she had thrown out any "old bits of paper" for my son's E21 and my E30. Fortunately these are still intact, not that they tell as interesting story as the Lambretta "bits of paper".

They just don't get it do they.
My mum shredded all the bits and pieces from my dad's 1974 Humber Sceptre: old tax discs, service book and everything.
That's history!
I feel the OP's pain.

Two headblenders, couple of bags of MC Hammer, 5 litres of FFF, a 48ft bastard, a box of jumped-up custard and some soggy chimps

I would 100% hide your wedding photographs and engineer a conversation in a month or so, with as many friends as you can find round your house, where the words "Let's get the wedding photographs out" are said by your wife. You could do an introduction on camera explaining the situation before telling your wife you threw them out and watching her go metal, videoing the lot of course.
HTH.
Cheers. Dave.
