Gearbox Z3 2.8/3.0 Shifter

Hi guys,

I picked up a new 240 box earlier this week and will be doing some work on it this weekend to get it ready to be put back in the car.

Plans are to change the seals and replace all linkage parts, I also want to upgrade to the Z3 2.8/3.0 shifter but I cannot see a part number on the RealOEM:

Ooops, you already have that link, so what part number do you need, the 2.8 gear stick it self?

DONT would be my advice the gearchange will be like an SMG lever. 1.9 lever is as far as you want to go the 2.8 lever is major kack its way way to short its horrible

Really? I thought it was the Z3-M one that you wanted to avoid as the shift is really short and could potentially damage the syncomesh?

The part number in the wiki is the 1.9 ? isnt it ..... i got that one(50 odd quid from BMW Preston farm) and its perfect tbh you wouldn't want it much shorter it has a really nice feel.
