hey guys, aldo here from nyc. i dont know how much you guys know about roads in nyc but let me tell you after this crazy harsh winter with mixes of salt snow sand and freezing temperatures the roads are officially HORRIBLE and not "lowcar friendly". so im thinking about buying coilovers for my e30 by august the earliest... i am shopping around and i want to know the opinion of a experienced e30 owner about some good ol german coil kits. i want something unique and rare kw is everywhere so i looked at this company called ap sportsuspension (http://www.ap-sportsuspensions.com/) i want to eliminate wheel to body gap so im not trying to dump the car i do want something worth my dollars though, sporty not looking for comfy ive got the w210 for that but no rough sporty, something to deff make me feel the difference from stock to street sporty... also not to stiff like my friend put on his subie wrx even on smooth roads the cars vibes up and down. thanks in advance
i love cars i dont drink i dont smoke i just love driving and i have gotten so atached to cars that im scaring myself i have this disease i call cd car addict, i own a w210 e320 I6 and just bought a 89 e30 alpine white.

You want a recommendation for some coilovers for driving on shit roads that are stiff but that aren't too stiff and that don't go too low but completely remove the arch gap? Would you like a side order of rocking horse shit with that?
If you want unique and worth the money, then don't bother with coilovers. Get a decent H&R Cup kit and some Bilstein shocks (B4, B6 or B8 depending on preference).

Don't bother with coilovers. You will never adjust them (the point in coilovers) and the ride will generally be on the harsh side of sporty.
Billies are great quality and will outlast anything bar top end coilovers and are tuned for road driving far better than you would manage with some adjustable dampers on coilovers
