I have bought and fitted several pairs of Borge gas front dampers over the years and been
with the ride quality.

Sachs /Boge are the same company and you can buy Sachs shocks from ECP or on ebay.

Thanks,Barry, just searched carparts4less and found Boge dampers at a whisker under £50 each...not in stock, but they still took an order,so I will see what turns up.
Touring has gone all 'floaty' at the front, backed up by the MoT man moaning about 'oil mist'...from a gas damper?

Gas dampers still use oil, just under pressure from a gas.

Ordered last Tuesday evening, and arrived yesterday afternoon!
This was after exchanging a couple of emails with carparts4less,they quoted delivery by the 28th.
I thought at first that there were no new collars, then I found them wrapped in the fitting instruction sheet....
I have also ordered, from my local stealer,a pair of M-tec spec front springs. These are walking from Munich as I type, list at £78 each, but I expect a bit of discount off that.

Why not? I get discount at my local dealer, as I'm sure other members do at their local dealer.parkin10 wrote:bmw--dealer--discount--!

every thing I have ever ordered for my e30 nearly cost`s 3X more than I think it will
it failed a test for just a ball joint so I was going change both bottom arms, sandals of wakefield wanted £600 plus vat for a pair and ARB link rods were £55 plus vat
I know there best quality but that's very expensive
