Simple question, really. Is there anything of any real interest in a 2dr 323i? Oddity/rarity/value, anything to get particulalry excited about?

The harsh reality is that a 323 , whilst better in every way than a 320 is beaten by a 325 in every way.
BUT a clean 2 door 323 in any shape or form has a value and is not an unpleasant turd. Finding a NICE one is the hard bit :(

I suppose if it's a very early car and is in nice clean condition, then it does have an appeal. I spotted a lovely one in Germany for sale earlier this year - it had incredibly low mileage, impeccable history, had been well specced from new and had been well stored/cared for - and was priced accordingly. But cars like that are few and far between, you've got to judge each on their individual merit.

UK registered ones are few and far between. They were only made from 83 - 85 and around 4,000 were sold.

Compare this with over 25,000 325 sold in the UK.

Rust and boy racers have seen off many 323i.
