just trying to find out the different engines and the fuel consumption? /my dads got a 325i sport which hes had since it was a year old but its a bit heavy on petrol for me to consider.I was thinking of a 318 or 316 but its got to be a touring version.The guy who works next doors got a J plate 318 is but is the/ is/ a differnet engine to the standard i version>?

316i = 102bhp 8v
318i = 115bhp 8v
318is = 136bhp 16v
The 316i will be similar economy-wise to the 318is with the 318i being the least economical.
If you want a Touring, 316i and 318i are your only options as the 318is was only made in 2-door form.
