Hartge gauges were fitted in a cluster where the ashtray was , and you usefully could not see them. Alpina had the best solution with the gauges in the vent.

Later hartges had the centre console mounted ones but early turds had that dash top pod.pacerpete wrote:Hartge gauges were fitted in a cluster where the ashtray was , and you usefully could not see them. Alpina had the best solution with the gauges in the vent.

I'm surprised nobody transplanted a Cortina 1600E dash in there, with a row of top mounted inaccurate Smiths gauges (Series 1).

Yuck! That would be the 1st thing to go if I bought a car with one fitted. It looks dreadful.

It's like an auction site, you put in an offer and he accepts it when he's happy.
Pretty much says, it's rare, wont find another for sale, perfect fitment, just need double sided tape to fit and a small hole drilled for gauges.

Bmsports H28 hartge has one in it, doesn't look so big when its got the gauges in and to be honest I didn't notice it straight away.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

Ha, who buys a Hartge, with extra pods and a leather steering wheel, and then only has a digital clock fitted?
