Ԛ£1,680 a year

Sound like your getting ripped off there. Do you have lots of points or live in a high risk area and leave the car out. Even if you do that sounds way to much

Nah man! I aint got no points.I park it on my driveway. Not sure if Ilford is a "high risk area",but in my opinion it is. So what you reckon i should be paying for TPFT?

I dont know as there are a number of variables that go towards calculating a quote. Im in insurance but motor isnt my field.

Have you tried www.confused.com what do they throw up quote wise.

E-sure gave me my best quote last year at Ԛ£350 fully comp, you could give them a go

I pay Ԛ£380 TPF&T for a 325ise I'm 30 with 2 years no claims, my missus is 23 full no claims and pays the same on her 325i tourer. Most companies wouldn't quote my missus (under 25 2.5lt).

Have you tried Norwich Union and Directline?

well there are no mods to delcare and i think you have to be over 25 before they will accept any modding to your chariot, otherwise they tell you to bugger off

i'm with PRIVILEGE

not sure what they're prices are like with the modding though

and they really hike up the price for convictions/points and certain areas too so they can be hit and miss, they're usually way better than every one else or way above, so just give it a go, its all online and they don't send you any crap if you tick the boxes to ask you not too.

hope that helps

I will try 'confused' and 'privilege' today and see what they come up with. I did try a few other companies from PBMW magazine but they came up with silly quotes?!?

All E30s qualify for Classic car insurance. I'm paying Ԛ£500 fully comp on a 325 and i'm 22. From Lancaster insurance. Doesn't require or earn no claims.

Im 18 with no no claims bonus and currently paying Ԛ£1100 a year fully comp for my 318is. Insurance is a pain in the ass but that was a good quote compared to the rest i got. Might check out classic car insurance though. What companies do classic quotes?

Literally just put the phone down. Was speaking to www.adrianflux.co.uk.

My existing company quoted me Ԛ£377 renewal for my standard car standard but wont quote for mods

Adrian Flux just quoted me Ԛ£381 with the following mods declared (to be fitted asap)
Uprated & lowered suspension
Strut Brace
Chip

Protected no-claims
Driving other cars (third party)
cover abroard (Le Mans?)
etc etc

Might be worth giving them a go

Mine is through lancaster: http://www.lancasterinsurance.co.uk/cgi-bin/intro

You have to be 21 though, which is rather annoying.

So ive told the useless More Than indian call centre what to do with teir useless policy and now have to wait for a refund.

Im just waiting for Maynard Milton to get back to me at the mo, but the AA only want Ԛ£563 Fully comp (im 27 with 8 years no claims and no points).

Give lloyds direct a call mate.

I must have called about 12 insurance companies, and they were all about Ԛ£540 fully comp, i called lloyds and they said Ԛ£320, thats protected no claims fully comp.

I had to go through the details again to make sure she hadn't made a mistake. Next company i called and as the do, asked if i had any quotes, i goes yeh Ԛ£320.. the lad on the phone was like, fck me.. whose that from?

He asked me for there number, he said take it, its a wicked quote.. lol

Got my passat and brabus merc insured with them, and both under Ԛ£350 fully comp protected no claims.

worth a try.

Thanks for that.

Maynard Milton have got back to me and have managed to get the insurance down to Ԛ£530 fully comp with protected no claims. I have never known an insurance company to be so helpful, they even gave me a few calls back during the day to let me know that I havnt been forgotten, they are just trying to get the quote cheaper.

I'm paying about Ԛ£740 with Adrian Flux.

That's at 25 with 4 years NCB.

ALL mods have been declared :)

Have protected NCB, slavage retention and like for like replacement on mods too.

Just hope I never need to use it (although I almost set fire to the car whilst welding earlier :o )

i got quoted Ԛ£580 TPFT today on a 91 325i sport, 25 year old driver, 0 ncb, no prior accident/claim history, car is kept in street in a bad area in Glasgow

it knocked 20 quid off the quote when i added my dad to it, so try adding your bird or parents and see if it drops

if i went under my dads insurance i reckon id be about Ԛ£400 tpft

Depends on their history, tried add my dad to one policy and they wanted to double the premium.

But yes adding another driver can help
