woohoo finally after months of trawling round the scrappies i found an E30 with Mtech2 kit, the princely sum of 200 notes was handed over and a mint set of front and rear bumper/spoiler bits are in my grubby little hands, seems the car had rolled knackering just about everything but what i wanted for my cabby, and even better i had booked the car in for its long awaited respray this thursday, so having the tech 2 kit now means they will spray them diamond black for free (well the price of the respray anyway!)

so mods to be done... front and rear tech 2 bumpers, the new roof will go on after the respray, and a general clean up and service of the engine bay etc etc

good end to the year!!

Argh, 200 notes. You're an absolute bastard again! :x

Should look great on your cab, I'm considering Tech II-ing mine but I think finding a kit (with the right sideskirts) will take me until when I sell the car in '07

think the tech 2 upper side skirts look tacky IMO and a rust hider too! think the cab side sills look nice without skirts cause they are thick, mate was just a lucky break, they are normally 3-400 notes here but i literally got to the yard as the car was being unloaded, snapped them up straight away!! they were dolphin grey and i needed to buy the clips and the rear fixing covers but that was only 10 quid or so! front valance needed some filling work where it had been curbed etc but the body shop will do all that!

was also considering removing the door rubbing strips and filling it in, (similar to M3 doors) whadadya think?? ya or nay?

I say go for it if you're not gonna encounter idiots in car parks opening their doors on it, it'd look very smooth indeed, and would be much better with the Tech II kit as the rubbing strips look out-of-place with the kit on.

Although having said that seeing as your car's black I'd base the decision on price.

That much filling, smoothing and painting sounds a bit expensive!

good point about car park dinging!!! think i will leave it how it is! plus half the time its probably me dinging things too!!! winkeye

would have to compensate by putting those rubber thingies along the door edge that look soooo good on cortinas!!
