I just posted a wanted ad for comfort seats but may need to dye them black and I was wondering has any one done this or know of what to use please?

Wont it rub of?

I dyed my carpets etc and it sort of rubs of even if it's only a little

If you can get the covers off then you're made, the fabric dye fixed with salt would be ideal, loads of colours to choose from too :wink:

Or nearly their whole wardrobe because the battery you put in the boot wasn't secure and fell over, causing battery acid to soak into all the clothes :cry:

what material is the cloth ?

DYLON ! woud be the best if you can get all the fabric removed, in to washing machine with dylon and salt, youd have to read up on the right dylon product for the material

as its heavy wear-a lot of sitting in and rubbing on cloting etc, you want to use the right dye that wont rub off and stain

also- id say its a total no go to try dye them without totaly removing all the cloth
