tey could be out of an m3 as the stitching goes the opposite way to normal.(i.e. across not up and down) but the piping makes them look odd, a bit hard to tell really.

They're not standard M3 seats, I have these in my Touring, and the stiching does go across not up, but the side bolsters are not as chunky as the ones here.
These look like proper RS Turbo recaros! But what E30 had them I don't know?
Special Edition M3?

i thought they looked chunky as i have leather m3 interior but wasn't sure if they had just been restuffed/padded when trimmed.

Yea just looked at some pics of an MԚ£ interior and they do look the same.
I'm asuming that they have been retrimed, the rear bench(looks like one out of a 325sport, so stitching is vertical so doesn't match) doesn't look quite the same colour, but it does have the red piping.

Mine don't look anything like that, and I've never seen an M3 interior with bolsters that big either.Kedge wrote:Yea just looked at some pics of an MԚ£ interior and they do look the same.

They're not BMW seats... the front leg support looks like it just pulls out by hand, rather than turning the side knob.
Escort RS Turbo seats at a guess... Personally, they look nasty. Like they've put on weight or something...

giles, the e34 5 seires sport seats had the pull out front bolster but againt he sides werent that bulky so you could still be right on the rs turbo.

Must be some kind of mutant seats!
Is something very dodgy looking about them, thats something i think we can all conclude on.

could well be, where is the adjuster for the front leg support, is it a knob on the side or is it a lever under the support itself?

everything but the side bolsters look the same, the look as if they have been padded out more than originally on the leather ones...other than that they are almost a perfect match.

Simon if you care to look on the ETK you will see a pair of Recaro seats for the E30, and those are real recaro seats.

They look like the seats in my 323i. Although, like people have said, they have been retrimmed in leather and the side supports look very thick. I have the manual pull out leg support too, not a knob on the side. I think mine are recaro's.

Here is a picture of my drivers seat. I know it isn't in such great condition, I was going to get it fixed up but I took it out anyway to put in my Sparco race seat. It actually isn't as bad as it looks.

Took a couple of pics this afternoon they are the same as Johnono posted, and I think the same as everyone else they have been recovered.Does anyone know what price they are at,at the minute. They seem to be rare and are only worth what someone is prepaired to pay for them.Hope they go to a good home.

Okay okay okay... I stand corrected, they ARE BMW seats afterall.
Easy mistake to make though with the poor recovering job...

I bet the original covering's still on underneath, hence the bulbous (sp) look of them!
