Hi Guy's,
Have been offered a 325i facelift model, an old boy has it. He reckons it was all running fine until he had the engine steam cleaned. Apparently when the car is running and warm it starts up no problem, when I went to see it, it was cold and the car would not start at all.
Don't want to buy it for the hell of it, is this likely to be something major?, what should I be checking for.
Thanks
Fal

have a look in the wiki,
but sounds like it could be, related to the intake side of things. so the usual blue temp plug, TPS and AFM could all be suspects.
is their a spark and fuel getting through?

Sounds like you may need to dry out the distributor - remove the cap, and check for water ingress.
A can of WD40 sprayed about may cure it...
Also check the engine-to-body earth strap is securely fastened.
