Just wondering if anyone knows what the factory options from bmw regarding bbs rs' on a e30 were? Size, Widths, Price?
More than likely a couple of these ;
RS001 7 x 15 ET25 4x100 57.0
RS002 8 x 15 ET12 4x100 57.0
RS003 7 x 16 ET25 4x100 57.0
RS004 8 x 16 ET 12 4x100 57.0
RS070 7 x 15 ET 16 4X100 57.0
RS071 8 x 15 ET18 4x100 57.0
RS072 9 x 15 ET3 4x100 57.0
RS073 8 x 16 ET15 4x100 57.0

RS's are not listed on BMW electronic parts catalogue and I've never seen any official BMW literature with them in so as far as I'm aware they were never a factory option although I have heard a few having them dealer fitted from new.

That's probably why I have found it so hard finding any information regarding bbs's from factory. I came across another IS that had OZ 3piece splits from factory, it was sold through KGF classics last year.

A red 2dr? If so that was featured in TBMW mag with a grey track prepped iS several years ago, both of which were brought in to the UK by German cars in Norfolk.
The OZ's on the red car would not have been factory fit, but possibly on it from new as they are a period wheel.

Yes, I believe they were dealer fit options. You see quite a few m3s with the 16in RSs from new, and there have always been close ties between bmw and bbs, particularly in motorsport so it wouldn't surprise me if some supplied brand new wheels for cars before they were collected by their first owners.
cheers,

I did once go to buy an E30 M3 and on the spec sheet it had the BBS RS listed. (Thinking about it now i should have taken a picture)

Maybe on the original bill of sale/order sheet but they would not be listed on the factory spec sheet.

You do know way to much Barry! That's the one I was talking about, I have got the mag somewhere. I contacted German cars when it came up for sale, trying to find some more history of the car but they never got back to me.

I'm going to have to look through my paperwork. My m3 was imported and spent all its life in Norfolk / Suffolk. Also red, and came with period correct 16in RSs which I always assumed were a dealer option.
Sadly they were in a poor state, had been blasted whilst assembled ten heavily powdercoated like a one piece wheel. Would have cost a fortune to sort out so I sold them and put some standard 16in bbs on instead.
