New buyers help

Hello all, I'm a new member and am looking for a convertible, ideally 318/318is, could anyone give me any pointers/advice when I get round to start viewing a few, or mebbe even if any one has something for sale (I was hoping o get something for 1500 ish) it'll be something ill put away to next summer so I can do some work on it throughout the winter
