Do front head rests fit in the rear seats?

I'm currently breaking an E36 and have discovered the headrests, although a tad bulkier fit in the front seats of my E30. Are the rear fittings on an E30 (cab in particular) the same so I can instal my current front ones there?

So that means E36 ones fit too. That's good to know.

Yeah just thought I'd try it out of interest as these are light grey leather and I have plenty spare cardinal red dye left. Pleasantly surprised.

Head rests are the same part number front or rear.

Cab rear headless are smaller.
If you fit these to the rear you might find they catch the hood when you recline it.

No they ain't rav!! Check the part numbers. They only appear smaller after years in the sun causing them to shrink. I've checked it many times. They are the same front and rear.

Its true convertibles which had rear headrests fitted have all shrunk due to the sun.
