fuel pressure regulator

Has anyone fitted an uprated fuel pressure regulator to a 325i... I was wondering if it makes much of a difference. Some sites are saying it raises the fuel rail pressure 1.7 times the normal amount

Why do you want to raise fuel pressure first?

i have read that it can give better throttle response and smoother running, although i am just quoting what i have read, so if i'm wrong, then please excuse me.

It's not you who's wrong, it's the people making these 'uprated' FPRs.

You don't need extra fuel going into the engine unless you've got extra air going in, which without any other mods, you won't have.

I'd save the money and leave these things to the pikey kids and thier Saxos

Toptints there is so much shit out there trying to be flogged(usually ebay) that you don't need and sometimes will make the car worse so avoid aftermarket FPR at all costs unless you have the extra air to match it

Not only do they FPR's do nothing for performance unless your car is mapped around the raised fuel pressure but they also have a tendancy to cause engine bay fires as E30Adam and myself have found out.
