I had them when I bought my Touring, and removed all except the rear quarter tints. Makes the car look like a van

I've been running this through my head recently.
I'm pretty keen on the idea currently. As mentioned above just a gentle tint to take the edge off. I think it would look good on my sterling silver touring. To be honest I couldn't give a flip if it looks a bit council.... council estates usually have a good community
I've got a long list to chug through before I treat myself to the likes of some tinted windows so I have time to think..

to the OP whats the weather like in Amsterdam ( never been so I have no idea ) - if its regularly very hot then tints are a valid upgrade IMO ( especially with a black car ) as long as you don't go drug-dealer dark.
In the UK though window tinting on an E30 just makes you look like you're stuck in some mid-90's Max Power timewarp

e30topless said : Proper BMW's have 4 headlights, last of the run was the E30 and E34/E32 anything after that is just complete shite
Tbh, I've always found the rear blind blocks a lot of the light entering and makes all the windows look darker from the outside.
Beware that in the uk, any film you can buy will make the ( already tinted ) front side windows illegal, so then if you're only doing b-pillar back there's a good chance it'll start looking like a van.
I've put light smoke on the rear doors of my e36, but think it would look odd on the more upright glasshouse on the e30.

Standard tint is just right IMO. E30s were available with clear glass as an option, but I've never seen one.
