4 ebay BBS's
4 good but used tyres
4 Tyres fitted to my new alloys
6 months of an annoying vibration
the better part of £400, many a prop off investigation and many bushes later

4 buckled alloys
1 pissed off 318is owner who's had to put his 14" steelies back on
2 days before a trip to Nurburg

gotta love ebay sometimes.
very very VERY disappointed

Yeah... the clue would be the 50g of weight the tyre fitter had to apply to get them balanced.

wheel weights are
outer inner
15g 30g
none 25g
none 35g
30g 35g

So yeah - now I know. if I had all the machines I wouldn't need a 'professional'
you'd think they'd notice and tell me wouldn't ya

Tbh 50g isn't that bad, if they're buckled enough to give a vibration you should be able to see it when they're spun in the balancer.

Some if the wheels you see on eBay ( usually cheap Chinese reps ) have two or three complete strips alongside each other, 2-300g in one spot 8O
cheers,

Those weights are not that bad.

What brand tyres have you had fitted as some of the cheaper ones take a bit of weight to balance them.

He should have visibly checked them first though by spinning them up and any buckle would have been apparent but then most tyre won't do that unless asked.

You should have asked to check them seeing as they were second hand off eBay.
