Bank holiday Monday, red e30 on a H plate, Hatfield A1 north 11.45ish am. German style plates, very tidy! Is it a zoner?

Yesterday morning in Chichester I think I spotted what was a white martini race decaled m3 with an awsome deep rumble sound that was loud, but only caught the rear end as i turned round, anyone know it ?

No not a zoner, it's a 318is owned by an elder couple and there son owns the 635 se that's always parked around the station.
