So it's nearly time for me to put the E30 in the bodyshop, and to save a bit of money I've decided to remove the tech 2 kit and bumpers before it goes in.
My question is what clips and other fixings do I need for when it goes back ob, and how much are they likely to cost?
What clips and how many?

whats happening to the car exactly ? some paint ? a re spray ? glass in out etc ?
with the fittings- its all how far you want to go
go on real oem, have a pc txt document open- and go through
in theory- you can just re use all fittings you remove, as you remove bag and tag them , note any broken or perished or mssing ones, buy them
but then all things like arch liners, grille, door mouldings, etc etc etc have fittings and can be renewd
for the re paint and re build of mine- i just bought brand new fittings for everything that was removed , to be put back on, even the bumpers dissasembled new bolts new everything for everything basicly
this is what most of the external fittings look like, but be warned- once you start you cant stop, ive got another list ready to buy a load

Cheers Grrr.
It's going for a rust removal and respray, nowhere near as thorough as yours though. It's having rear inner arch welded, two rear corners of boot floor welded, scuttle welded, front strut towers, inner wings, and anything hiding behind the kit, then paint it.
I'd rather just get new clips than use brittle old ones that if I don't break taking them off, I probably will putting back on

sounds like a lot of work, thats exactly what i thought -youl know what you remove, bag and tag them, good for spares and also youl be able to check new ones and see what clips go where
and go see the car a few times during its work, and just think about it and piece up what you need, spend the odd hour or 2 trawling through real oem, copy/paste in to a text document
for instance , heres a small sampole from my current list, so youl get the idea of what you want and how to put it down in sections and add to it all the time...
its how far do you want to go, when you start re building and have already got lots, you then pick up things likem them rear quarter side drainage vent things- new gaskets and bits for them, etc etc, you can go on and on and on and get real peado

its good tho, but expensive, im literaly just on there myself- once you start re building a car with new paint, you dont want to put anything old/worn on... so ive now added the front/rear screen seal trim strips and clips, and pop out window studs
before your car goes in, i recomend removing as much as you can, carefully, and bagging/tagging/wrapping bits up if they are nice , bits like them little trim clips that join them strips on the screen, all the little bits from the rear panel, trunk lights, the lot, there listerally is so much you can and want to buy, im even looking t things like new bits for the doors/trunk lid that clip in to the lock to lock it , stuff like that, as you have old ones on nice new paint , it will go on and on , but it then is like a hobby i spose

Do you want me to send you the parts and price list for everything I ordered.
You'll find it all on realoem.com
