318is Diff

My 318is has been making a lot of noise on the overrun (no load on the diff)

I have been told by a mechanic that my diff is f***ed so was wondering what's the best way to go about replacing it that's affordable and ideal.

I have heard there is a very common upgrade but not sure what it entails.

A straight swap for any 4.10 ratio open diff is your cheapest option.

To upgrade to an LSD will cost roughly £400 plus.
