pre face lift water hose prob,,,help

i have got a pre face lift engine,two hoses on water pump and two left on thermastat housing,so i have a 35 mill to go to bottom of rad out of pump and two off thermastat to go to top of rad with only one rad fitting ,does any one know where i am going wrong or is there a site to show conversion many thanks chaps
