There should be a few ads in your local paper that offer free pick up of vehicles.

I dont think there is any money in scrap metal, so if you've stripped it of the valuable bits, its gonna be tough. I am struggling to find someone to collect my rover and that will have all panels and the engine in it.
someone on here said they cut up a C reg micra up and put it in the wheelie bin bit by bit.... I laughed and told my dad.. who said its no joke, my grandfather chopped up a mark 2 escort with an axe and binned it!
At the very least you will have to pay someone to take it.

There's money to be made from scrap cars at the moment.
My brother in law's been buying a few insurance write offs lately, and taking them straight to a scrap metal merchant.
Makes enough profit to be worth his while.

My local council took mine for nowt. Simple!
I just wanted it gone and they have a scheme to get rid dumped/scrap (ungaraged) cars.
You could phone your local council, you never know.

A friend of mine went to his local chinese restaurant to ask them if they Knew anyone, they did and he got Ԛ£15 for the shell of an old AX!there is money in scrap again as China is pushing up prices by buying it all
Used to work for camden recycling always had people (of oriental origin..) turning up asking if they could take our scrap metal! And we only used to fill 1 container every 2-3 weeks.
There is much money in it at the moment, don't pay anyone to take it away....

council will take it away, but the car needs to in your name i think registered at the address they collect from.
not sure what sort of "condition" the car has to be in, if you take off suspension and the car hits the deck and isn't rolling it might be an issue.

My shell was taken after I had completely stripped it (except for engine and box). Car was sat on it's floor by the time they came to collect it. I was amazed how light the car became after I had removed everything!

I camden, westminster, haringay, hackney, chelsea fulham Brent barnet and a few other london boroughs if the car is untaxed and in an unroad worthy condition, anyone can call and get it taken away, no paperwork.council will take it away, but the car needs to in your name i think registered at the address they collect from.
I new someone who was breaking a 320, I bought a window from him and the next day one of his neighbours had called the council and it was gone!
hadn't even finished stripping it...
