How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

i took all the carpets out of the boot of my IS today as one of the light clusters was leaking, i was very very happy to find no rot!

well here's mine, the passenger side lense cluster was leaking so there was some moisture which you can see in the pics so it needs a good clean, but overall i'm a happy man
also decided to take off the front bumper as some say the front panel rots where you screw in the tow hook, again this was pretty clean, also removed the front windscreen to check for rot and it was non existant.
im slowly checking all areas.......

lhd looks like its starting to rust on the drivers side there whats it like further in ? and both sides in from behind the rear door cards you should check , some fertan is good to spray i the areas pictured there to keep anything at bay and get at anything right in there, and then waxoyl, also if you wanted to ensure longetivity you could/should take back all the sealant on the outside of the inner arches, check for rust , then re seal it all, if its a long term keeper , looks ok tho so ensure it stays that way !!

where are you looking, the only thing i could find on drivers side is factory sealant.polsta wrote:lhd looks like its starting to rust on the drivers side there whats it like further in ?
the passenger side where the electric aerial is wasnt as tidy as the drivers side, but thats because there was a leak & eas still a bit wet. Ill get the all the carpets right out and take some more pics
door cards off is the next to check as well as the driver & passenger carpets have got to come up
not bad for a unrestored 23 year old motor

yeah not bad mate, although the is in the latter e30s produced so a bit behind older ones, but looks good so get it all investigated and sorted, waxoyl the fook out of it all and in the sills and chassis etc, any preventative measures wil help

Can't see the drain tube on the aerial. If it's missing, water'll be getting in that way.lhd220turbo wrote: the passenger side where the electric aerial is wasnt as tidy as the drivers side, but thats because there was a leak & eas still a bit wet.
