Changed my mates rear wheel bearing on his 325i, done it in 2 hours, not a half bad job, pretty easy actually, checking the suspension layout and things havent changed much, the trailing arm idea, either other cars are dated or E30's were state of the art.

How did you get the new bearing in ?
There is NO nucleus.

we hit it in with a plastic hammer and pressed the flange in.

a few people on the zone have said its a nightmare job best left to the professionals. youve given me the confidence to try it myself now. the fronts where surprisingly easy :D

The fronts would be easier coz they are tapered bearings but the rears are a press fit. The flange was the only part that we needed the press for. But the bearing was not to bad, dont forget the cir-clip on the arm that holds the bearing in. HTH
