As subject, am bored of the MT2 kit and would would like to see what the other options are re other standard fit bumper and skirt options?
Were there other valances? Retaining fogs? Se skirts are nice and a smaller boot spoiler would be nice. Car is cirrusblue btw.

Fogs are held in the valance behind the kit anyway, so just ditch the kit and fit an iS front lip, SE skirts, and iS boot spoiler

Ah superb!
So let me get this straight, i can retain the front bumper but I'll need a replacement standard rear bumper?

Ditch the plastic crap and go back to standard. I was the same always used to admire Tech 2's, then I bought one and decided a nicely sepcced standard car is so much better looking
With the money you get from your 'MTech innit' kit treat yourself to loads of new suspension bushes and companents THE best mechanical thing you can do to an E30 IMO. It really is night and day compared to a sorry sloppy turd. Not saying yours is, but if it is this is what I would recommend.
I won't even tolerate fog lights or an IS lip on mine, no spoiler either! The complete opposite to what originally attracted me to these wallet emptying heaps in the first place!
All the best E30's are Auto's, 316 and 318's with a engine conversion and sleeper spec!

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Ahaha! I think I'm feeling the same thing you did! The Tech2 looks right on the right car, but as mine isn't a 'Factory Sport' I get the feeling I'm cheating! I do like the simplicity of the SE skirts and the lip though...
That was the plan for this year, all bushes and mechanical bits sorted before a trip to the bodyshop before the summer to tidy him up, if I can ever get hold of zimmermatt again I'll be grabbing an M42 to sling into the mix as this is my second M40 that sounds like 'a skeleton wanking in dustbin' as someone so eloquently put it last time I changed it.
Wish I'd have just done it the first time round really, but it won't be as much of a ball-ache seeing as I've had the whole thing out once before, I guess

Nothing not 'standard' about a tech II kit on a facelift car! It was just an option box ticked, the same as a radio or alloy wheels. All facelift 'Sports' had tech II kit as part of the package, but that doesn't make any other E30 with it a 'pretend' Sport. One of my Tourings has a full kit, and I don't think it's ever been mistaken for a portally challenged 'Sport'.

I suppose, like many things, it comes down to personal preference. It's not that I all of a sudden despise the kit, I just fancy a change.

to fit tech2 requires drilling right?? if so, your going to need to fill and spray the holes that are going to be visible once you remove the pods

Yeah, I thought that!kangman wrote:to fit tech2 requires drilling right?? if so, your going to need to fill and spray the holes that are going to be visible once you remove the pods
Clueless when it comes to bodywork, so will be letting someone that knows what they're doing take care of that side of things. Your Calypso looks clean as a whistle, and that's kinda the look I'd like to get with mine.
Any body else on the zone with a cirrus turd? I've only ever seen one (mine!) Seem to be a few Alpines and Dolphins about and one Malachite 2 door I saw the other week near me.
Was it not a popular colour or was it offered for a short time?
