I have had my car respayed and I am now doing the re-fit, the paintwork has been done to a very high standard, but the rear M tec 2 rear bumper seems to have warped, possibly in storage as it was painted over six months ago.
Any suggestions to get it back into shape?

Possibly warped if they baked it in the spray booth!!

Not sure how you'd get it back in shape unless it was baked again and then fitted while still warm?

I'm sure someone with more knowledge will answer your question more accurately.

Yes that's what I was thinking, I had trouble with some of the side body parts but I was able to warm them up over the radiators in the house.
I was thinking of removing the bumper and holding the bumper in shape with tape and heating it up in a room with electric blow heaters.

what do you mean by warped? have you aligned it properly or jusr refit it?

both the side tabs and the main moutning struts are adjustable, i found mine also appeared slightly off when i refit, especialy around the rear arch area, i just removed and refitted a few times with small adjustments and soon got it right. i did a wiki called fitting tech 2 bumpers, that explains a bit better on how to adjust

Yes its been on and off several times with adjusting the mounts as I presumed this was the case, but it just looks slightly wider on the near side, and the back panel between the exhaust is not in line any more.

in my case i could not get one of the the rear arch mounts far enough forward to have it align, and as your case it seemed to pop out under the fuel cap area. in the end i just made some fine tuning with a file in the area where it mounts on these rear arch mounts and i all went back on.

Cant see it warping unless subjected to extream heating, we live in temps of 50C and above, with surpface temps in the sun exceeding 60C (and that is hotter than any radiator) and we dont have warping.
