I've never been that keen on the mtech2 rear spoiler and much prefer the clean look of the pre facelift models. I was worried I'd spoil the look of the car with it having the bodykit fitted but have seen a pic (below) with the spoiler removed and I think it works.

My spoiler is in great condition. What kind of price should I ask for it?

keep it on,suits the car ,the blue looks good without it, but also the dark blue color has a bearing as does the camera angle, wonder what it looks like from the rear angles with a big valance and no spoiler.,..., but if you do remove it, dont sell it for the sake of a few quid wrap it up and stash it away to make the car original again if need be

only takes a few minutes to remove the spoiler, take it off and take a few pics from different angles and post them up to see exactly how it will look

Good thinking, Batman. Can whip off the spoiler but the only downside is that I've removed all the side panels of the kit. Will give it a go anyway.

Buy a non spoiler bootlid and have it painted to match and keep your old one with the spoiler should ou ever change your mind or want to sell the car.

I hate tech 2 spoilers.

It offends my eyes... take it off :(

How would you planning on filling the holes in?

You don't need to fill the holes, just leave the lower lip on the boot lid. Looks good and isn't too big, the only downside is that its about an inch short either side without the top deck, but its not overly noticeable.

If you want it completely spoiler-less, get hold of a non spoiler bootlid as Harry said.

Don't really have the space for keeping a spare boot lying about. I'll keep the spoiler as advised. If possible, I'd tack pieces of metal on the inside then fill the holes with filler. Another option would be to use fiberglass filler on the holes. Hopefully I'll get it removed this afternoon and get some photos on here for your opinions.

Tech 2 spoilers make me sick. My car will be kitted without it. Its up to yourself but I personally think they should be made illegal

Haha, I did consider removing the whole kit and having it look old school.
I've now taken the spoiler off. Here's the pics.

The side panels are off at the moment whilst I do some bodywork. I prefer the E30 without them, but it comes back to the same argument as the rear spoiler. I guess so many people are saying to keep it on is to keep the car as it was orginally?

I do like this though:

Or the cleaned up side panels on this:

Voted off and leave the rest of the kit as it is. Looks smoother with no spolier.

I agree with you. I guess the 50/50 split in opinion should come as no surprise though.
