Does anyone know how doing this swap will affect my insurance? I'm already paying Ԛ£750 F/Comp.

Could I tell them that its always been a manual?

no cos usually the car is registered at DVLA as an Auto, if it is gonna be changed you need to inform the DVLA and the insurance.

doubt it! think its just a case of the vehicle being changed altered from manufacturer spec in this case the auto to manual, all you need to do is inform them, i know a friend of mine done it when he changed the engine in his car, simply sent off the V5 with the new engine number and got a new V5 with the updated details. Shouldn't be a problem I would have thought.
