This is a strange one. Just got a call that my 325i cab has failed its MoT due to headlamp adjusters (again!) and ABS not working. Apparently the light doesn't work, but on closer inspection it was found that one of the rear hubs does not have ABS fitted. They suggested the car has had this hub changed in the past for one that doesn't have it.

So, what do I need to do? Get a replacement hub (i.e. wanted post on here) or is there a simpler option?

I think you've already identified the simplest solution.

What worries me is how the hell the examiner passed it last year...
Schadenfreude - the German's haven't got a word for that.

Yes - I had wondered that too! And the year before that. I've certainly never changed the hub.

Are there E30's without ABS then?

May seem a silly question, but are the rear hubs handed, i.e. nearside different to offside?
