Build you a factory fresh e30 if you were rich enough?

It would not conform with the safety regs or the amount that must be recyclable under current eu laws. So the awnser is going to be a no. How ever if you spoke to BMW classic in Germany I'm sure you could get a complete factory fresh renavation on your car for the right wedge

If you could provide a shell, and whatever NLA parts were needed, I'm sure any dealership would gladly build you one though it would cost an eye-watering amount. It wouldn't be the same as a factory car though - the production lines the E30 was built on have long since been dismantled and everything would have to be done by hand. So you wouldn't get perfect 'robot-assembly' by the book.
It would be interesting if bss325i or someone like that with good dealership knowledge could estimate the parts and time cost of building one using all available new BMW parts, not including NLA parts and shell that you would have to provide for yourself obviously..

Not only is the shell discontinued but lots of other bits & bobs are too. Its more likely to be tackled by bespoke company but I don't think legally it would be difficult.
After all the eagle speedster is a carbon copy of the e-type?
So I say bmw would never do it but its more likely another company might build a few e30 M3's for rich gits

Imagine the frustration as your E30 build went on hold for 3 months while you desperately tried to source the clips that hold the fuel lines on etc...bab-91 wrote:Not only is the shell discontinued but lots of other bits & bobs are too. Eagle speedster is 'imspired by' rather than a recreation as far as I know.

I doubt my mental health would stand for such a built....
I wasn't sure if it was the same body-wise and different engine/running gear etc but they are fairly similar. Anyway I can see a few M3'/lookalikes being built that way.
I can't see BMW wasting their time firing out a cult car to make a few anoraks like ourselves wet!

The other year BMW totally refreshed an E3/9 (not sure which) for a customer.
Rumoured cost was over 100,000 Euros.
